For any questions about the PSAT, AP Exams, or the SAT, please contact Miss Angela Bredeman at guidance@ecaspain.com.

SAT

ECA is an SAT testing center. All registrations take place through CollegeBoard’s website. When searching for this testing center, fill out identification information first, then choose a date, then locations will appear. ECA will be on the second or third page of available testing sites.

ECA is hosting the March 2022 SAT, however, after March 2022, ECA will no longer host the SAT until it moves to a digital format.

Students should arrive between 7:30 and 7:45am on the morning of the exam. They will need to bring their printed exam ticket, a photo ID, and an acceptable calculator (please refer to CollegeBoard’s website to check if your calculator is approved). Students will be asked questions related to COVID-19 that they must answer upon admittance. There will be breaks between sections of the exams and students are encouraged to bring water and a snack. ECA will be following safety protocols to ensure that students maintain a safe distance apart while eating and that all testing surfaces are sanitized before testing. The exam will last until approximately 12:15pm. Any questions can be directed to Miss Angela Bredeman.

*Students are asked to stay home if they have a fever or show symptoms of COVID-19.

PSAT

Non-ECA students are invited to take the exam with us! The next PSAT testing will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Contact Miss Bredeman to register.

Students are encouraged to take the PSAT during 10th and 11th grades. The PSAT is helpful for:

  • Practicing for the SAT
  • Enter National Merit Scholarship corporation competitions for recognition and scholarships
  • Assessing skills in critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing
  • Getting specific suggestions on how to improve skills
  • Comparing academic skills with those of other college-bound students
  • Asking colleges to send you information
  • Getting information about college majors and careers

AP Exams

Students can take AP classes, which will prepare them for taking the corresponding AP Exams. Taking AP Exams is beneficial for students because a passing score on an AP Exam (3, 4, or 5) can earn them college credit. ECA will offer any AP Exams that its students want to take, even if they’re taking an online AP class, or not in a class that corresponds to an exam.

Non-ECA students may take AP Exams at ECA, but only those that are already being offered.

Registration for the 2022 AP Exams is open and ECA is planning to offer the following exams:

  • English Language and Composition
  • English Literature and Composition
  • French Language and Culture
  • Music Theory
  • Psychology
  • US Government and Politics
  • Maybe: Spanish Language and Culture
  • Maybe: Computer Science A
